How do we do it…

In Smidge Campers, all components throughout the entirety build is completed by qualified trades in one factory. We do not outsource parts of the build or need to rely on other companies workmanship. Because we build the whole unit from scratch it allows us to ‘tweak’ the layout and options to suit your wants and needs. We take great care in manufacturing every one of our bespoke creations.

Our diverse in-house team that design and work on our teardrops come from a varied skill set which covers off but not limited to:

  • Boilermakers

  • Cabinetmakers

  • Electrician

  • Mechanic

  • Gas fitter and inspector

  • Upholsterer/ Seamstress

  • Architect

As shown below, you can come visit your Smidge every step of the way, following its journey through the build process.

  • Steel RHS frame fully welded

  • Quality chassis components sourced by one of the leading suppliers of trailer parts

  • Designed and cut on a CNC router for complete accuracy and precision

  • Cabinetry is screwed (not just stapled) together, we use quality marine-grade light weight plywood. Our Birch Ply is coated by hand with an organic hard wax oil

  • Electrical and plumbing work is completed by skilled staff and meets the regulations

  • Quality control inspection at every process of the build

We like to give a little back…

WE WANT TO GIVE SOMETHING BACK, Sustainability is important to us - we want to make the world a better place and give something back

At Smidge Teardrop Campers sustainability is important to us - we want to make our country a better place and give something back. We all love to get out, explore and camp in our national parks so what better way to support them by donating more trees to be planted! Better national parks, more tree’s and more habitats created for many animal and plant species. Sustainability is important, not only will planting the trees help heal our land, grow our forests and bush land but it will also help filter tons of CO2 from the air. We can create a better future for our children and theirs.… We also just like to give something back to nature.

From 2022, Every new Smidge sold, 10 new trees will be planted in your name!

You will receive a personalized certificate for this!

Smidge have partnered with The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW) . FNPW are the charity partner for national parks and wildlife services across Australia. FNPW are a non-government organisation with a mission to safeguard our ecosystems, wilderness, and flora and fauna now and for future generations.
